Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled social worker with a strong understanding of HIQA Standards and their application to child protection and welfare. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing direct access to the local community and offering holistic social assessments and interventions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing care plans for children and families in need of support or intervention. They will also work collaboratively with other disciplines and agencies to deliver high-quality social work services.
**Responsibilities:**
* Provide direct point of access for the local community
* Offer initial and holistic social assessment and intervention
* Develop and implement care plans for children and families
* Deliver social work service in collaboration with other disciplines/agencies
* Participate in case reviews, strategy meetings, and inter-agency planning
* Advocate for the rights and needs of children and families
* Maintain accurate records and comply with quality standards and governance procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A professional qualification in Social Work (e.g. NQSW, CQSW, BSS in Social Work, MSW)
* Registration with CORU as a Social Worker
* Eligibility to work in Ireland (EU Passport, IRP Stamp 4 or 1G)
* A full driving license and access to appropriate transport
* High standard of suitability and professional ability
* A commitment to child protection, equality, and social justice
