Key Responsibilities

Culinary Leadership: Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high‑quality dishes, ensuring consistency and excellence. Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and execute innovative menus that align with the hotel's standards. Lead by example, inspiring and mentoring the kitchen team to achieve their best performance.
Kitchen Management: Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, ensuring smooth daily operations. Monitor and manage kitchen staffing levels, schedules, and workload distribution. Foster a positive and professional kitchen environment, encouraging teamwork and efficiency.
Inventory and Stock Control: Manage kitchen inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimizing waste. Oversee ordering, receiving, and stock rotation, maintaining the freshness and availability of ingredients. Work within budgetary constraints to control food costs without compromising quality.
Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards, maintaining consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation. Enforce compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations at all times. Conduct regular checks on kitchen cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and adherence to HACCP protocols.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the front‑of‑house team to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction. Provide clear direction and constructive feedback to junior chefs and kitchen staff. Collaborate with the Head Chef to refine menu offerings based on guest feedback and seasonal availability.
Innovation & Development: Contribute to menu planning and the development of new dishes, enhancing the restaurant's culinary reputation. Identify opportunities for process improvements, enhancing efficiency and service standards. Assist in training and developing junior chefs, nurturing talent within the kitchen team.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

At least four years of experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a high‑volume environment.
A strong culinary background with a passion for excellence and innovation.
Experience managing a team and the ability to lead in a fast‑paced kitchen.
Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
