Accounting Role Overview
* The accountant is responsible for closing all month, quarter and year end accounts.
* Gross profit components are analyzed on a monthly basis and significant variances are reported to management.
* Responsibility for pricing setups, bi-monthly maintenance of pricing.
* Reports are provided to management specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
* Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations is ensured.
* Support is provided for statutory audits of companies and interactions with independent auditors are carried out to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
* Taxation requirements are assisted in to ensure all deadlines are met.
* Financial analysis and reporting are prepared for the company and periodic financial reviews are facilitated to assist the team in maximising profitability and performance.
Key attributes include ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA qualification with a minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar role. Intermediate MS Office application skills and working knowledge of ERP System preferably SAP are also required. Additionally, fundamental knowledge of plan development, productivity and profitability analysis is essential.
