Applications Are Invited For The Position OfRadiographer – Permanent, Full TimeAt Galway Clinic we are seeking a Basic Grade Radiographer to join our dynamic Imaging Service and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality diagnostic care. The role is permanent full time 35 hours per week.The RoleTo undertake Radiographic and Imaging Examinations in a professional manner.Adhere to professional guidelines as determined by the Irish Institute of Radiographers and radiation Therapists and maintain a high standard of Radiography.To ensure that the three principles of radiation protection (justification, optimisation and dose constraints/limits) are adhered to.To take part in routine daily inspection of equipment and quality assurance procedures.Adhere to all departmental imaging protocols.To report any defects or occurences either directly to Manager or Clinical Specialist in area where working.To keep up‑to‑date with current techniques and developments in Radiographic Imaging procedures and to take part in in-service training as required.To actively participate in Continuing Professional Development.To carry out all other duties as directed by the Radiology Services Manager, Clinical Specialist in area where working.Respect and maintain the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of the service user and in relation to all hospital activities as per statutory requirements.Have a high capacity for responsibility and individual initiative.Flexibility in role and take on additional duties as required.The CandidatesHave the diploma of the College of Radiographers (Diagnostic) or a Bachelor of Science or its equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography.Must be registered with CORU.Demonstrate experience of working with a team of Radiographers.Have proven ability to work under pressure.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Evidence of continuing professional development.To apply, please refer to www.blackrockhealth.com/careers.Closing date for receipt of applications: Friday 5th June 2026 at 5pm.Blackrock Health Galway Clinic is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
