Role Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the team through best-in-class sourcing practices and by adhering to best practice procedures, delivering a quality service, maximising value for money, and achieving cost efficiencies on behalf of the Group.
The successful candidate will be based at our Group Offices in Grannagh, Waterford, and will support & be responsible for:
* Supporting the Group Strategic Procurement Manager across various categories;
* Supporting Senior Category Buyers with objectives related to Ingredients, Packaging, Services, and Ethical Trade;
* Supporting cross-functional teams with their project objectives;
* Promoting best procurement practices across the Group;
* Developing sourcing strategies;
* Developing risk mitigation strategies;
* Researching and prequalifying new suppliers;
* Researching & analyzing new potential projects;
* Following market trends to identify suitable products;
* Preparing tender documentation & analyzing responses;
* Negotiating prices with suppliers;
* Managing supplier relationships;
* Resolving disputes & claims with suppliers;
* Keeping approved supplier product programs up to date;
* Reviewing contracts & terms of sale;
* Monitoring KPI performance of suppliers;
* Preparing reports & reporting to senior management;
* Project deployment & change management;
* Category project management.
Your role will involve tackling a wide range of business challenges in a dynamic environment.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have or demonstrate:
* A relevant third-level qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Business;
* The ability to build and maintain good team and cross-functional relationships;
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with relevant stakeholders;
* Leadership qualities to develop team members by example;
* A focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques;
* Good follow-up and control skills in all aspects of the role;
* Ability to plan, schedule, and prioritize tasks;
* Some knowledge of Supply Chain principles;
* Some Project Management knowledge;
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
