OverviewOur Dublin based client are looking for a Cloud Data Architect to join their team on a daily rate contract basis.This will be an initial 12 month contract with strong potential for extensions beyond the contract length. Role is with a well known brand name company that are based in Dublin city. Position operates on a hybrid basis of 3 days per week on site with an excellent daily rate on offer. Ideally need to have Azure and Data Bricks experience.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and communicate the target architecture & validation with key business & IT stakeholders, using architecture templates and frameworks.Own, drive and effectively communicates the migration of Data & A.I. Architecture to Azure.Ensures compliance of solution architectural designs with the architecture and relevant policies, such as Security & Compliance departments.Closely works with all areas of IT (Development, DevOps, I&O, Security etc.) and business data analytics teams to serve as the central point of communication for all decisions / questions around the data architecture.Liaises with business reps to understand and support the business strategy, priorities and roadmap.Supports the implementation of Cloud strategy and the compliance with Group binding principles.Assesses new technologies or alternate options by conducting proof of concept style investigations.Conducts reviews of existing solutions and identifies risks and potential improvements (e.g. cost, efficiency or simplification).Engages with third parties where required.Technical knowledgeDesign of reliable, resilient scalable, performant, secure production data architectures.Traditional principles of Data engineering, operational data storage, data warehousing design, BI and analytics, with appropriate supporting architectures.Modern approaches encompassing advanced analytics, machine learning, Data Science & MLOps.Migrating on-premise data architectures to Azure PaaS data services:Data Lake & Lakehouse technologyDatabricksAzure ML and Cognitive ServicesOpenShiftPowerBIPractical hands on experience designing and developing MLOps automation capability, and predictive model integration and lifecycle management.Networking, gateway & security infrastructure for on-premise integration and hybrid cloud.Knowledge of analytical programming languages and environments: Python, R, SQL & .NETLogical and Physical Data modelling experience & engagement/negotiation skills.SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to describe solutions both on a technical and business level are critical to this role.Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation; self-motivated.Excellent analytical skills.The ability to translate business needs into IT Architecture requirements.Experience architecting in a regulated, financial services environment.How to applyTo apply for this role, please submit your updated CV.
