AECOM continues to expand their successful Infrastructure Development team in Ireland and requires a Senior Engineer to join the Dublin team.What can we offer?The team has an established track record of delivering development infrastructure schemes locally and across Ireland and the U.K. Our clients include developers, retailers, landowners, housebuilders, blue-chip companies, and Universities. Our current portfolio comprises a diverse mix of local and national development and civil infrastructure projects at all stages, from Feasibility through to Detailed Design and Construction.ResponsibilitiesHere’s what you’ll do:The successful candidate should have experience in supporting the delivery of innovative and cost effective solutions to development engineering projects. The role includes a range of challenging, dynamic and high-profile projects. Typical duties will include design and development of storm and foul drainage networks for housing, industrial and commercial applications. The use of industry standard software models including Microdrainage; knowledge of Flood risk assessments; drafting of design drawings (including where applicable 3D applications); report writing; site inspections; supervision of CAD Technicians to produce detail design drawings efficiently; management of project-related correspondence; providing support on project information concerning costs and programme.The successful candidate should be an excellent communicator and able to work closely with private and public sector clients as well as multi-disciplinary teams in a fast paced environment. The role would ideally suit a self-motivated individual looking to advance their career in a dynamic team.QualificationsReady to push the limits of what’s possible?A degree in Civil Engineering, and working towards becoming a Chartered EngineerPrevious experience in a design role with specific design experience in some/all of the following:Sustainable Urban Drainage SystemsStorm and foul gravity collection networksStorm and foul rising pumping stations and rising mainsWater main distribution pipelinesAttenuation and flow control elementsPackage wastewater treatment systemsSection 50 applications and Flood Risk AssessmentsFamiliar with Road and Pavement design including working knowledge of DMRB and DMURSSite suitability assessments and drainage planning requirementsExcellent written communication skills, with the ability to integrate into the existing engineering teamKnowledge of drainage design software such as WinDes (Microdrainage)Experience in the preparation of Public Works Contracts and familiarity with the Capital Works Management Framework is desirableKnowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3d, Revit or similar drafting and BIM packagesFamiliarity with and adherence to Engineers Ireland’s Code of Ethics and working towards obtaining Chartered Engineer titleFull Clean driving licenseBenefits and Employment DetailsWe celebrate diversity, including neurodiversity, and welcome applications from all backgrounds and abilities.
