The Role As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will focus on providing ongoing, autism-specific therapeutic interventions that help individuals build communication skills, self-confidence, and independence.
Working in partnership with clients, families, and other team members, you will: Deliver one-to-one and group therapeutic sessions in line with personalised intervention plans.
Provide families and carers with practical strategies that support communication in everyday life.
Collaborate with occupational therapists, psychologists, and assistant psychologists to ensure integrated and cohesive support.
Adapt therapy approaches to reflect each individuals unique needs, preferences, and strengths.
Keep accurate records of interventions and client progress.
Contribute ideas for service development, helping shape innovative therapy programmes.
Essential Criteria Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
Youre someone whos passionate about supporting Autistic people in a respectful, flexible, and collaborative way.
CORU registered.
Relevant post-qualification or under-graduate placement experience in a paediatric/disability setting.
Eligible to work in Ireland.
Excellent communication skills oral and written.
Ability to work in a self-directed manner and to work as part of a team.
Excellent time management skills.
Effective use of reflective practice/supervision process.
Desirable Criteria Post graduate qualification and experience.
Comfortable producing video-based content for both private intervention purposes and online content.
Experience of developing and running groups for parents/children.
