Job descriptionRTR Electronics Ltd are seeking an SMT Technician to join our rapid growing team. The role will involve monitoring, maintaining and adjusting equipment for PCB manufacturing.Primary functions· Operate SMT and test equipment to produce SMT boards according to standardized workmanship.· Program, debug and maintain SMT pick and place machines.· Inspect solder joint and component mounting using the naked eye and/or magnification.· Create soldering profiles for SMT reflow equipment.· Check machine readiness and conduct continuous monitoring of machine operations.· Ensure the right components are used in production.· Check the conformity of products by performing basic quality auditing, testing, and troubleshooting functions.· Clean the SMT machine, tools, and equipment.· Implement identified improvements.· Support area leads and operators.To be successful in the role, you must have:· Third Level Electronics qualification .· Experience in operating surface mount machines (pick and place, reflow oven etc.)· Great attention to detail.· High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate optimally with management and colleagues.· Team-player, proactive, committed to providing high-quality work able to operate various automated assembly equipment.· Ability to work under own initiative.· IPC 610 certification an advantage.· Use inspection & measurement equipment (such as 10x lamps, 7x-30x microscopes, X-Ray to monitor quality levels and record data on SPC charts.· Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.Ability to work overtime and/or flexible hours when required.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From €40,000.00 per yearBenefits:FlexitimeEducation:Advanced/Higher Certificate (required)Experience:SMT machine operation and programming: 2 years (required)Language:Fluent English (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
