Job Title:Senior Power BI Developer (Contract – 6 Months)Location:HybridContract Duration:6 Months (potential for extension)We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer with extensive experience in semantic model design, report design, performance optimisation, deployment best practices, and Power BI Service administration.Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and optimise Power BI semantic models to support enterprise reporting and self-service analytics.Enhance report performance through model tuning, efficient DAX, and dataset optimisation.Develop and implement deployment and refresh strategies, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with best practices.Leverage Power BI Service capabilities including workspace management, dataflows, security, governance, and usage monitoring.Explore and implement Power Platform integrations (Power Automate, Power Apps) to enhance automation and interactivity.Create impactful, user-friendly dashboards and reports that communicate insights clearly and effectively.Develop and maintain paginated reports where required (experience with Power BI Report Builder or SSRS a strong plus).Ideal Candidate Profile:Expert-level proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service – including embedded Power BI solutions.7+ years' experience in BI development, including significant Power BI project delivery.Experience working in a cloud data environment e.g., Azure, SnowflakeProactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented.A Power BI champion who is passionate about enabling a data-driven culture.
