Job Title:BIM Coordinator Location: Model Farm Road, Cork Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Reports To: Contracts Manager Renumeration:Excellent package/benefits available for the successful candidate Job Summary The BIM Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation and management of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes across the companys construction projects. This individual ensures the accurate coordination of 3D models, facilitates efficient design collaboration, and assists project teams in applying digital construction methodologies. Through their technical expertise, the BIM Coordinator contributes to enhanced project delivery, improved coordination, and streamlined workflows across all stages of construction. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage BIM models across design disciplines and subcontractors. Lead clash detection processes and resolve coordination issues using Navisworks or similar tools. Support pre-construction and construction teams by delivering accurate and timely BIM outputs. Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), model validation reports, and other supporting documentation. Collaborate with site teams to integrate BIM workflows into construction methodologies and schedules. Liaise with external consultants, suppliers, and clients to ensure BIM deliverables meet project and contractual requirements. Assist in the implementation of company BIM standards and workflows in line with ISO 19650. Provide BIM training and technical support to project stakeholders as needed. Manage and maintain model file structures and data integrity using common data environments (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Trimble Connect). Key Competencies Strong understanding of BIM processes, standards, and technologies. Proficiency in software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Solibri, and BIM 360. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on model accuracy and coordination. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills for multi-disciplinary coordination. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of construction methods and sequencing. Education and Experience Bachelors degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum 3 years' experience in a BIM coordination or modelling role within the construction industry. Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors preferred. Certification in BIM (e.g., BRE, RICS, or equivalent) is an advantage. Familiarity with Irish building regulations and digital construction standards (e.g., ISO 19650).
