Social Worker

Role Overview
As a key member of the Children in Care team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children in foster care or residential care. Your role will centre on ensuring their safety, emotional wellbeing, and long-term development through care planning, family work, and interagency collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out statutory duties under the Child Care Act and related legislation
* Complete comprehensive assessments and care plans
* Engage with children, families, and foster carers to provide ongoing support
* Prepare reports for court and attend care review meetings
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies
* Advocate for the rights and needs of each child in care
Requirements
* A recognised qualification in Social Work
* CORU registration (essential)
* Experience in child protection, children in care, or family support (desirable)
* Strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills
* A trauma-informed and child-centred approach to care
* Full driving licence and access to own vehicle (community travel required)
