You'll develop the driver console, actuators, and control architecture that connect clinicians to life-saving technology — turning complex engineering into an intuitive, reliable clinical system.This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment where you'll take systems from early prototypes through verification, validation, and manufacturing. You'll work closely with product development, testing teams, and external partners, with real ownership and technical influence.What You'll DoDesign and develop the electromechanical control system (console, actuators, pump interface)Translate clinical and functional requirements into robust system designsLead development from prototype to manufacturingDrive usability, safety, and performance through testing and risk managementCollaborate across engineering, testing, and external partnersApply human factors engineering to create intuitive clinical interfacesSupport documentation, quality, regulatory, and IP activitiesWhat We're Looking For3–5+ years' experience in electromechanical systems (medical devices preferred)Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (NFQ Level 9+ preferred)Strong experience in real-time control systems and PLC programmingKnowledge of IEC and medical device safety standardsExperience with testing, verification & validation, and DFMEA / risk managementAbility to troubleshoot complex mechatronic systemsHuman factors / usability experience for clinical devicesFamiliarity with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, MDR, and FDA frameworksCAD experience (SolidWorks) a plusStrong communication skills and collaborative mindsetSelf-driven, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-growth environments
