Role Overview
The Site Manager is a client-facing role responsible for managing all aspects of soft services and cleaning operations on a designated client site. This full-time, site-based position requires exceptional operational leadership, proactive client relationship management, and a strategic mindset toward service excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
As the single point of contact for the client, the Site Manager ensures seamless service delivery, compliance with safety and quality standards, and alignment with client expectations. The role also includes oversight of associated services such as waste management, hygiene, laundry, and consumables, while fostering a high-performing, motivated team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Client Partnership & Relationship Management
Serve as the dedicated on-site representative for the client's senior leadership team.
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key client stakeholders.
Lead client meetings, provide performance insights, and drive issue resolution.
Identify and deliver service innovations, ESG initiatives, and value-added solutions.
Operational Leadership & Quality Oversight
Ensure all services (cleaning, hygiene, waste, etc.) are delivered to agreed KPIs and SLAs.
Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews to maintain performance excellence.
Own site-level compliance with Samsic and client operating procedures.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives across service lines.
Coordinate third-party contractors and ensure appropriate permits and documentation.
Team Management & People Development
Lead, coach, and develop a diverse on-site team including supervisors, operatives, and relief staff.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and staffing schedules to ensure coverage and operational readiness.
Support wellbeing, recognition, and employee engagement on site.
Manage performance, training, and development in alignment with Samsic standards.
Handle employee relations issues with support from HR, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
Compliance, Risk & Health and Safety
Ensure site adherence to all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
Maintain accurate records (risk assessments, incident logs, COSHH, audits, etc.).
Conduct toolbox talks and ensure all team members are trained in safe working practices.
Enforce proper use of chemicals, PPE, equipment, and colour-coded cleaning protocols.
Reporting, Procurement & Administration
Produce timely and accurate weekly/monthly reports for the Strategic Account Manager.
Manage on-site budget controls, stock levels, and procurement processes.
Oversee timekeeping, payroll inputs, and holiday/absence planning.
Maintain complete and audit-ready documentation for all operational areas.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in a facilities site management, or client service role.
Demonstrated success managing medium-to-large teams (15+ employees).
Strong experience working directly with high-profile clients in a service-driven environment.
Knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance practices in the Irish market.
Experience managing third-party contracts and external suppliers.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in reporting tools, workforce planning systems, and MS Office suite.
Desirable Attributes
Experience in delivering ESG or innovation-focused site initiatives.
Background in a regulated environment or corporate client site.
