Job Description
The primary purpose of this role is to execute day-to-day loan fund accounting for debt structures containing loan portfolios, under the guidance of a Financial Reporting Manager.
Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of various debt funds, portfolio companies and associated fund structures, as well as collaborating with clients and intermediaries as necessary to meet client deliverables such as NAV reporting.
Additional tasks involve completing FA-level aspects of accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures, including the proper processing/review of daily posting of Loans, general accounting of expenses/income, preparation and reconciliation of statutory financial statements, and ad-hoc investor queries.
Accurate records must be maintained on accounting system eFront FIA for all required aspects of different significant financial statements line items.
Responsibilities also include reviewing daily/weekly bank reconciliations ensuring both Loan and GL transactions are up to date and providing supporting documentation evidencing transactions.
Deal with completion of routine audit queries and requests, manage client communications on daily operations for assigned entities, grow technical knowledge of Private Credit/Debt instruments, and assist SFA and managers in transactions i.e., loan advances, repayments, OIDs.
Prepare accounting deliverables on period basis i.e., consolidation packs, stand-alone reporting packs, act as mentor to junior staff members under supervision of fund accountant.
Skills, knowledge, expertise: FA level regarding knowledge of loans, components of loans and how to account for loans, relevant degree in accounting or finance desirable (bachelor's or master's degree).
Candidate expected to be fully or partially qualified with relevant professional qualification preferably having commenced ACCA Professional level or ACA Advanced level.
Excellent interpersonal skills required to develop close working relationship with colleagues, strong technical financial services experience supported through Aztec Academy, computer literacy skills essential.
