An excellent opportunity has arisen within the company for a Mine Electrical Instrumentation Craftsperson. Reporting to the Mine Electrical Supervisor, the Mine Electrical Instrumentation Craftsperson is responsible for complimenting and contributing to the Mine Electrical Section, supporting in maintenance and installation issues (Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation), and assisting with all works and projects.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* In line with applicable procedures conduct all duties in a way that promotes Boliden's values and best practice relating to environmental, health, safety and quality performance.
* Role model Boliden's core values at all times and can demonstrate use of core values to drive continuous improvement.
* Monitor and troubleshoot plant operations to determine maintenance requirements to maximise plant availability. Identify improvement areas and implement projects and solutions.
* Maintain compliance with certified Management Systems and regulatory permits.
* Use, develop and promote Mine Electrical Section systems, both physical and electronic.
* Proactive machine fault-finding, repair and problem solving
* Implement all safe working procedures, standards, practices, rules, regulations and instructions in line with Boliden policies
* Work towards achieving all relevant KPIs set out for Electrical Department e.g. breakdown response time, minimising downtime, etc
* Carry out on-the-job risk assessments
* Carry out 5S, housekeeping and cleaning work as required
* Use and operation of all necessary equipment and tools
* Use of new technology, including CMMS system (Maximo)
* To compile, manage and maintain maintenance records and databases.
* Maintain a detailed log of all repairs, servicing, electrical maintenance and relevant information relating to performance of machinery and equipment
* Actively seek and evaluate opportunities for improvement in EHS/automation/digitalisation/technology and energy consumption
* Participate in daily pulse meetings with maintenance team to ensure that there is full information shared amongst relevant colleagues and business units
* Actively participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and/or practices
* Read and accept New Ways of Working and Mine Organisational changes detailed in "3. Final New Ways of Working – 24/04/2024" document agreed by Group of Unions and Boliden Tara Mines
* Other duties may be determined by immediate supervisor
Experience and Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years in the mining / heavy industry with considerable exposure to an engineering function.
One of the following is essential:
* A SOLAS approved Craft qualification.
* Recognised qualification as a trained Electrician

Additional Info:
* This role will be full time, with a 4 Cycle 12 hr Shift and a 2 Cycle 10.5 hr Shift
