Due to continued growth, we are now recruiting a Summer Camp Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our International Summer Junior Centre.CEC is recognised by ACELS (a service of QQI) for English Language Teaching and is a full member of MEI, Quality English, and EAQUALS. We are also an authorised IELTS, OET, Trinity, and Cambridge ESOL examination centre. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Ireland's premier English language and sports camp programmes.Role OverviewThe Summer Camp Operations Manager is responsible for the overall operational and administrative management of the summer school. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role overseeing centre operations, staff management, facilities, logistics, and student welfare.You will act as Centre Principal, Facilities Manager, and Liaison Officer for all non-academic matters. The Academic Manager and Activity & Residence Supervisor will report directly to you and support you in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the programme.You will report directly to the Company Director and will be expected to resolve issues promptly and effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the full operation of the CEC summer school from preparation through delivery and evaluationManage day-to-day centre operations, administration, and logisticsAllocate student accommodation, manage staff rotas, meal schedules, and group arrivals/departuresOrganise and coordinate transport for activities, excursions, and airport transfersLiaise with campus authorities, including catering, cleaning, and maintenance teamsConfirm facilities, accommodation, and third-party supplier bookingsWelcome groups on arrival and deliver centre inductionsSupervise and support the Activity & Residence Supervisor, ensuring activities and excursions are delivered professionallyChair and record minutes of regular staff meetings (minimum three per week, ideally daily)Monitor staff working hours and ensure contractual obligations are metTrack student arrivals, departures, and schedule changes, keeping all relevant teams informedOversee airport transfers for groups and individual studentsMaintain a positive working environment and strong team moraleBe on-call outside school hours for the duration of the programmeOversee student welfare, supervision, discipline, and safeguardingEnsure all risk assessments are understood and implementedMake operational decisions when required, including those that may be unpopular but necessaryAddress any issues impacting the smooth running of the centreEssential RequirementsApplicants must:Be available to work July 2026Attend all staff training daysComplete TUSLA Child Protection TrainingHold (or be willing to obtain) Garda VettingBe legally entitled to work in Ireland / EUHave experience in a similar role involving operations, supervision, customer service, or administrationEnjoy working with children and young adultsBe fluent in spoken and written EnglishDemonstrate strong leadership, organisational, and multitasking skillsBe energetic, proactive, and able to motivate both staff and studentsHold a current and fully qualified Occupational First Aid CertificateContract & Location DetailsLocation: Cork English College summer campus at Munster Technological University (MTU)Summer school dates: 28 June – 26 JulyContract duration: 13 June – 30 JulyJob Type: Fixed termContract length: 6 weeksBenefits:Housing allowanceAbility to commute/relocate:Cork, County Cork: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Application question(s):Have you attached a cover letter ?Experience:similar: 1 year (required)Language:English (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
