Vacancy Number: 27687Category: IT - Digital DeliveryJob Type: Temporary Full-timePosition DescriptionThe IT & Digital team is responsible for developing and delivering the IT & Digital Strategy required by the business to support the strategic objectives of Generation & Trading, and to manage implementation of the Strategy in a cost-effective and value-driven manner.The current IT & Digital landscape for Trading includes a complex suite of applications to participate in the Irish and GB markets and to manage our overall Trading position. Support and development for the Trading application suite is managed in close partnership with Enterprise Services.Applications are invited for the position of IT & Digital Business Partner for Trading on the IT and Digital team. This role is focused primarily on implementing the IT & Digital strategies for the Trading Business.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this role include:Ensure that IT Projects for Trading are correctly prioritised, supported with appropriate business cases and that funding and delivery resources are in placeOversee the delivery of IT Projects for Trading and provide escalation paths to ensure resolution of issues affecting project deliveryInput to the overall Digital Strategy for Generation and Trading to ensure alignment with the strategic direction of Trading and ensure consistency with the Group's overall Digital StrategyManage the delivery of Digital Products for Trading in close collaboration with the CIO & Digital Factory, including their ongoing development and supportFacilitate the IT delivery of New Assets into the Trading portfolioMonitor the effectiveness of production support for Trading applications & Infrastructure, and proactively ensure remediation where neededParticipate in the IT & Digital Governance structures as required to support TradingProvide strong stakeholder engagement with the Trading business to ensure IT & Digital delivery is working effectively and is aligned with business needEnsure close collaboration with the relevant CIO and IT Delivery teams required to support the needs of TradingKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceMinimum 5 years relevant experience is essentialEffective team player across all levels within the organisationStrong stakeholder managementExperience with technology and how it can enable business valueA proven track record of deliverySelf-motivator and problem solverExcellent communications, facilitation & interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a dynamic and changing environmentKnowledge of the Generation & Trading Business would be helpfulKnowledge and experience of enterprise-wide technologies and infrastructure employed across ESBKnowledge of Digital & Cyber Security TechnologiesQualificationsA recognised third level qualification in an IT/Computer Science or Business discipline, or equivalent work experience is essential.LocationThis position will be located in ESB Head Office, Fitzwilliam 27, Dublin 2.
