We seek an automation‑first mindset DevOps Engineer with a focus on building cloud‑native platforms to join our talented team at the Fraud & Risk Management Research & Development Centre of Excellence in Limerick.
Position Overview
As the DevOps Engineer, you will work towards building and maintaining our cutting‑edge platform using the best software engineering practices and adhering to industry standards while collaborating with software engineers, architects, product managers and stakeholders.
This platform will leverage the power of artificial intelligence to address the complex challenges of fraud detection, risk assessment and regulatory compliance in the financial industry. This position will be responsible for the software development lifecycle, including, but not limited to: software development pipelines, security scannings, cloud infrastructure, and observability platform.
How you will contribute
Write clean, reusable, readable code with the appropriate tests, following the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principle.
Execute code reviews and other peer review processes (e.g., pair programming) to ensure code quality and security practices.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, focusing on the build automation, tests, security scanning, code analysis and deployment, ensuring a fast release process.
Oversee cloud infrastructure, including Linux servers, network elements, security configuration, relational and NoSQL database instances, containers, serverless, and orchestration engines.
Manage observability tools to collect and display telemetry data, logs, alerts and responses.
Implement and enforce security best practices, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities.
Research new technologies, including hands‑on technical evaluation and PoCs.
Produce and contribute to high‑quality documentation.
Participate in conversations and workshops with stakeholders to understand requirements and identify solutions and opportunities.
What we need from you
3+ years of experience in application development or DevOps space.
Experience in writing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab).
In‑depth knowledge of cloud computing with proven experience with a major cloud provider (e.g., AWS, GCP).
Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible).
Experience with observability and telemetry tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
Experience with Linux system administration.
Familiarity with Python, Bash and SQL languages.
Experience with Software Composition Analysis tools (e.g., Snyk, Sonatype).
Familiarity with Containerisation and Orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
Experience implementing security measures and ensuring compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or relevant experience.
Experience working in the financial services, financial technology and risk management industry is a bonus.
Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable discussing technical information.

This is a hybrid role in our Limerick City office that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
