Overview
The VP & SVP ETF Fund Accounting (exclusive roles) within the Fund Accounting NAV team will be responsible for leading and managing the daily Net Asset Value (NAV) oversight and control processes for a wide range of Electronic Traded Funds. The role requires deep expertise in ETF structures, fund accounting processes, operational risk, and regulatory frameworks. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely calculation and validation of NAVs, working closely with internal teams and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily NAV production, valuation, and validation processes for ETF products.
* Ensure accuracy and completeness of all NAV components including security pricing, corporate actions, income accruals, and fee accruals.
* Validate NAV discrepancies and coordinate timely resolution with third-party administrators, custodians, and internal stakeholders.
* Own the end-to-end NAV oversight framework and drive enhancements to control processes.
* Lead a team of fund accountants and NAV analysts, setting performance goals and ensuring professional development.
* Act as subject matter expert (SME) on ETF fund structures, mechanics, and accounting standards.
* Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to junior staff.
* Identify, assess, and implement process improvements and automation opportunities across NAV production and oversight workflows.
* Collaborate with technology and transformation teams to enhance tools, systems, and reporting capabilities.
* Lead operational readiness for new ETF launches or transitions.
* Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including investment teams, product teams, auditors, fund administrators, and regulators.
* Coordinate responses to audit inquiries, regulatory requests, and client reporting deliverables.
* Represent the NAV oversight function in cross-functional working groups and industry forums.
Qualifications & Success Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
* 7-10 years work experience is highly preferred, ideally with 5 in ETF fund accounting.
* Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred.
* Analytical Thinking – Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insight.
* Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
* Initiative – Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement.
* Leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
