Overview
Project Manager, API External Manufacturing (12M, Cork) for a multinational pharmaceutical client at their API site in Cork. Initial 12-month contract. 3+ years of experience in API/Small Molecule/Peptides environments preferred. Note: No sponsorship is provided for this role; applicants must have Irish/EU citizenship or the relevant Stamp/ Visa in place.
Responsibilities
* Manage tech transfer plans for new products and ensure scope is proactively managed in collaboration with the project sponsor(s).
* Establish and maintain a change process to align with peers and leaders for modifications to timelines, deliverables, milestones, and resourcing needs.
* Independently develop and oversee execution of the project plan and delivery of milestones with realistic timelines.
* Hold team members accountable for key deliverables in compliance with corporate and medical quality standards.
* Facilitate internal and Joint Process Team meetings; support batch release, shipment management, and integration of API EM planning with internal stakeholder plans.
* Provide project management mentorship to other API EM team members involved in project execution and leadership.
* Provide quality and timely insights using project management tools (plans, MS Project, Jira, risk logs, meeting minutes, status updates, etc.).
* Use appropriate tools and techniques to monitor and control the project (metrics, dashboards, scorecards).
* Maintain relevant Teams, SharePoint, and Yammer sites with appropriate access for team members.
* Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
Requirements
* Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to communicate clearly with team members and leadership.
* Strong problem-solving abilities; capable of diagnosing root causes and taking corrective action.
* Strong self-management and organizational skills; able to manage workload and priorities effectively.
* Strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills; able to coach and provide feedback to diverse teams.
* Flexibility to adapt to frequent change and shifting priorities.
* Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering/Science or another engineering/project management discipline with extensive pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
* 3-4+ years in manufacturing operations, technical transfer, or project management roles.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with varied audiences.
