Based in Ireland, and reporting to the UK/IRE Finance Director, this position plays a critical role in managing the financial operations of the business. The successful candidate will lead a small finance team and ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance, and financial planning.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with proven leadership experience who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities –Preparation and delivery of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and supporting financial reports.Manage company cash flow and provide associated forecasts and reports.Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.Monitor, analyse, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales and profitability.Oversee payroll, employee benefits, VAT, and other regulatory and compliance duties.Supervise and support the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.Assist in preparation of the annual budget, budget updates, and rolling forecasts including P&L and cash flow projections.Produce ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by the Group Finance team.Maintain and control the Fixed Asset Register.Oversee inventory, costing, and stock control data to support business accuracy and decision-making.Prepare year-end statutory accounts and manage the external audit process.Collaborate closely with purchasing, sales, and other internal departments to support financial accuracy and insight.Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data within SAP Business One.Qualifications & Experience –Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience.Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build a cohesive team.Demonstrated experience with business systems, ideally SAP Business One.Strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach to identifying improvements and efficiencies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.Proven ability to meet deadlines, deliver under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.Proficiency in advanced Excel and strong financial modelling capabilities.
