Job Summary: Located on OConnell Street, Dublin, JMK Group and Holiday Inn Express are recruiting a Reservations Managerto join our growing team This is an exciting opportunity, and the Reservations Manager is responsible for overseeing the reservations team, ensuring smooth operations in processing guest bookings, and optimizing occupancy levels. This role involves supervising reservation agents, managing Group reservations ,handling escalations, maintaining reservation systems, and collaborating with other departments to provide exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities: Managing fully Groups function in Hotel quotes/contracts/billing/rooming lists. Oversee the daily operations of the reservations team to ensure efficient and accurate booking processes. Monitor room availability, rates, and booking trends to maximize occupancy and revenue. Assist in setting and adjusting room rates and inventory in coordination with the Revenue and Sales teams. Process reservations via phone, email, online platforms, and direct bookings while ensuring data accuracy. Anticipate guests' needs to enhance their experience and maximize satisfaction. Assist in achieving hotel and departmental targets related to mystery audits, IHG Heartbeat, and quality evaluations. Handle guest inquiries promptly and efficiently, ensuring all concerns are resolved to their satisfaction. Actively gather and report guest feedback to drive continuous improvement. Uphold the hotels mission and objectives in all activities. Attend all mandatory and departmental training sessions. Support the coaching and development of new team members. Foster a positive work environment, maintaining team morale and motivation. Identify and resolve any departmental challenges. Encourage employees to participate in professional development opportunities. Promote a culture where ideas and feedback are welcomed and implemented. Maintain effective communication with management and other departments. Attend departmental and management meetings as required. Revenue Management & Reservation Operations: Ensure guest requests for room allocations (VIPs, IHG Rewards members) are met. Manage IHG Rewards memberships via Loyalty Connect. Process commission payments and group reservations accurately. Participate in upselling programs to maximize room revenue. Maintain an organized reservation backup system. Work closely with reception to resolve guest billing queries. Process daily no-shows and ensure revenue is recorded accurately. Monitor market trends and adjust rates accordingly to optimize occupancy and revenue. Update rates on Opera/Concerto as required and monitor internet booking platforms to remain competitive. Identify and recognize regular customers, ensuring personalized service. Communicate VIP arrivals to relevant departments in advance. Liaise with sister hotels to maximize revenue opportunities. Skills and Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years experience in a reservations management/ reservations supervisor role Previous group reservations experience is required Proficiency in hotel reservation systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, SynXis, HotelKey or similar). Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Reliable, punctual, and with a positive attitude.
