Job Summary:
The Technical Solutions Engineer is a key role providing technical expertise and customer service across a targeted process or sector in EMEA. This individual acts as a technical specialist supporting external sales teams throughout the after-sales process.
The role emphasizes customer satisfaction, efficiency, and technical excellence, requiring engineering expertise, commercial awareness, and customer-focused problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support and Customer Engagement: Provide guidance and solutions to customers, collaborating with sales engineers, addressing technical inquiries, and offering tailored product recommendations.
2. Collaboration with Sales Engineers: Assist in producing and interpreting technical specifications, ensuring accurate costings and project efficiency, and engaging with customers when relevant.
3. First-Line Technical Support: Troubleshoot and advise on applications, helping customers resolve issues.
4. Project Management of RFQs: Manage Requests for Quotations, ensuring responses are detailed, accurate, and timely according to customer needs and KPIs.
5. Lead Project Progression: Oversee customer project progression in coordination with the Customer Service Team.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key interface between Technical, Sales, and Customer Experience teams for seamless communication and project delivery.
7. Training and Knowledge Development: Engage in training to enhance technical skills and stay updated on product developments.
8. Quality Assurance and KPI Reporting: Maintain high standards for quotations, orders, and project deliverables, and monitor KPIs for performance and customer satisfaction.
Skills/Experience:
1. Engineering qualification (Bachelor's or MSc) or equivalent experience in a similar role, preferably with a multinational manufacturer.
2. Experience with mechanical products related to fluid handling is advantageous.
3. Strong technical background with customer service, technical support, or project management experience.
4. Customer-focused approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus.
