Overview
Circet Ireland are looking for an experienced HSEQT Advisor to support our various projects and meet the requirements of the Safety, Quality and Environment Management systems. The role is based out of Letterkenny, Co. Donegal and will involve travel across the North and North West of Ireland. The HSEQT Advisor will assist site teams and managers by recognising hazards and minimising risks, ensuring high standards of HSEQT are attained and continually improved, and ensuring all HSEQT legal obligations are met.
Key responsibilities
* Development of the HSEQT Management System, in line with OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001), ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
* Ensure compliance with HSEQT statutory duties.
* Report to management on the performance of the management systems and any need for improvement.
* Promote and raise awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation.
* Support the delivery of the HSEQT strategy for Circet and assist in achieving continuous improvement in HSEQT performance across all parts of the company.
* Provide assurance to the HSEQT Manager through monitoring and intervention to ensure operations fulfil HSEQT obligations.
* Support the development of Circet culture during rapid expansion and change.
* Oversee, monitor and evaluate HSEQT performance across the region, working with senior management as appropriate.
* Offer competent advice on HSEQT matters to the company and staff.
* Ensure all worksites are compliant with legal HSEQT obligations.
* Develop and implement HSEQT initiatives.
* Drive continual improvement and develop HSEQT targets, objectives and KPIs in conjunction with the HSEQT Manager.
* Prepare Construction Stage Plans, Pre-Qualification & Tender Documents, Emergency Response Plans, etc.
* Approve, monitor and review all sub-contractor works.
* Write risk assessments and method statements.
* Conduct site audits and inspections, including external audits for ISO 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
* Assist with Occupational Health issues.
* Maintain incident records and undertake investigations to establish root causes and implement controls to prevent recurrence.
* Monitor working hours to comply with relevant legislation and internal policy.
* Drive continuous improvement and promote best practices at all times.
Skills & Experience required
* Minimum Level 7 Degree qualification or equivalent.
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
* Extensive experience within a civil engineering or telecommunications environment.
* Strong PSDP experience.
* Effective communication and reporting skills.
* Ability to work to and meet tight deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
* CSCS Card.
* A passion for Health, Safety, Environment & Quality.
* Full, clean Irish Driver’s Licence (manual).
