Join Viking Hotel Waterford as a Breakfast & Carvery Chef and help delight guests with exceptional food and service. This role is based in Waterford, Cork Road.

We are seeking an experienced chef who brings passion for preparing high‑standard Irish hotel cuisine. The successful candidate will report to the Head Chef, support daily kitchen operations, and contribute to a dynamic breakfast and carvery service in a 4‑star environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head Chef to ensure the overall smooth operation of the kitchen.
* Prepare mise en place and menu dishes for service in the allocated section to the required standard.
* Ensure the smooth running of Carvery food service in conjunction with the kitchen and restaurant teams.
* Prepare all ingredients for service for the allocated section, ensuring no wastage.
* Cook food to the required specifications.
* Ensure the smooth running of food service with Restaurant personnel.
* Ensure all special requests made by guests are met.
* Work in an organised, hygienic manner at all times, adhering to HACCP regulations.
* Receive goods from suppliers and ensure products conform with HACCP specifications.
* Store all goods correctly and hygienically in accordance with HACCP specifications.
* Adhere to cleaning schedules set out for the Kitchen.
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous chef experience with a minimum of two years.
* Good working knowledge of food hygiene regulations.
* Good attention to detail and ability to work as part of a small team.
* Passion for food and a positive, flexible attitude.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland and good level of English.
