The Daughters of Charity Community Services (DoCCS), located at 9 Henrietta Street, Dublin 1, provides a range of educational, training and social care services for adults, youth and children in the North Inner City. The organisation is currently recruiting an AIMs Support Worker to join the organisation. The AIMs Support Worker will work within in the Early Years Team to provide education, guidance, support and care to the children. About the AIM model: The Access and Inclusion model promotes inclusive practice and offers all children an opportunity of meaningful participation in a pre-school setting. Determining how to allow a child to participate varies depending on the need of the child. We are recruiting for the following position: AIMs Support Worker Part Time (19 hours). Duties include: To support and assist in the provision of early years education of the highest quality, in a holistic setting. To ensure a safe and fun environment for the children to grow and learn. To maintain an organised, clean environment for the children. Organise materials and activities to encourage children's participation throughout the day. Support childrens holistic development by catering for their individual needs. Conduct observations and learning stories for assigned child/children. Supporting children in meeting set goals outlined by their inclusion plans. Attending staff meetings and undergo training as required. Work cohesively with children, families and educators to enhance each childs holistic development. Adopt a pedagogical approach that is underpinned by Aistear & Siolta which nurtures childrens early years development. Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time. Essential: Minimum QQI Level 5 in a childcare qualification or equivalent. A passion for working with young children and their families. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple work tasks and a busy environment. Advantage/ Benefits of Working with us: Finish time set at 1pm Monday to Thursday and 12pm on Friday. The service is closed for Christmas, Easter and one month in August. Experience and training in Aistear & Solta. Unique opportunity to gain experience that only working in a Community Services provides.
