Excel Recruitment are recruiting an experienced Head of Maintenance for a 4-star hotel in the Leinster area. This is a senior, hands-on role covering day-to-day maintenance of the property while overseeing a major upgrade and expansion project. It will suit someone with strong hotel maintenance experience who is confident taking ownership on site, coordinating contractors, and working with senior management throughout the project.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager
8. Overall responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel property
9. Managing planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance across all areas of the hotel
10. Leading and coordinating external contractors and service providers
11. Responsibility for health & safety systems and compliance including fire safety, lifts, and statutory records
12. Acting as on-site project lead for an upgrade and extension to the property
13. Liaising with architects, contractors, and consultants throughout project phases
14. Monitoring timelines, quality of works, and cost control on projects
15. Managing budgets and contributing to capex planning with senior management
16. Leading and supporting the maintenance team
Requirements of the Maintenance Manager
17. Previous experience in a senior maintenance role within a hotel or similar complex property
18. Trade background (electrical, plumbing, mechanical or similar) highly advantageous
19. Proven experience overseeing refurbishment works or capital projects
20. Strong knowledge of health & safety and hotel compliance requirements
21. Hands-on approach with strong organisational skills
22. Ability to communicate clearly with contractors, management, and hotel departments
