We are currently hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a Nursing Home in County Sligo, Ireland.
Position Details: Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Location: County Sligo, Ireland Sector: Nursing Home / Elderly Care Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Ensure consistent understanding, interpretation, and implementation of home policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards.
Conduct regular ward rounds, including coordinated visits with general practitioners, to support comprehensive resident assessments and optimal clinical outcomes.
Review nursing documentation to verify accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of care records, assessments, and individualised care plans.
Mentor and support Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs) and staff nurses through coaching, performance feedback, and professional development initiatives.
Maintain a visible and proactive presence across clinical areas to promote effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to best practices.
Monitor clinical performance and practices, providing actionable feedback to improve care quality and team effectiveness.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and professional growth within the nursing and care team.
Requirements Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) at the appropriate level.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Proven experience in clinical nursing management within a residential care or healthcare setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven dedication to person-centred care principles.
