Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Learning Support Tutor within UCD Access & Lifelong Learning.
The role of UCD Access & Lifelong Learning (ALL) is to support the University to become a diverse and inclusive scholarly community.
Reporting to the Disability Support Manager, the Learning Support Tutor will be a key member of the ALL team.
The successful candidate will contribute to the University's commitment to widening participation and enhance access for all students, fostering an inclusive environment that mainstreams diversity and equality.
The Learning Support Tutor will play a key role in supporting and enabling students with disabilities to fulfil their potential and participate fully in college life.
The appointed candidate will have substantial experience of supporting students with disabilities in an educational setting.
They will apply specialist knowledge to the further development and delivery of a high-quality service for students.
They will provide specialist support for students with dyslexia and other learning difficulties or disabilities.
This would include but not be limited to conducting screening assessments, needs assessments, developing tailored learning support plans and delivering targeted learning support (both one-to-one and in groups) to enhance student success and inclusion with a focus on student autonomy.
Salary: 95 Admin Officer Ii_ _X) €51,484 - €65,806 per annum Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
