Job Title - Supported Living Service Relief Support Staff
Reports To - Relief Coordinator or Team Leader
Role Overview
WALK provides supports for people with intellectual disabilities living in community supported living settings and day service supports. Responsibilities
1. Support individuals to achieve their personal goals as outlined in their plans.
2. Empower supported individuals to live self-determined lives within inclusive communities.
3. Support families as appropriate and in accordance with the wishes of the person supported.
4. Build social capital and support individuals to engage in socially valued roles.
5. Collaborate with support teams, leadership, clinical staff, and stakeholders to ensure safe and effective services.
6. Assist the team leader/coordinator in maintaining HIQA regulatory compliance.
Positions Available
* General Relief Support Worker (as required): Cover shifts for annual and sick leave.
* Relief Support Worker (Guaranteed Relief Hours): Part of a roster with guaranteed minimum hours, adaptable with additional hours in consultation.
Terms & Conditions
* Pay rate depends on qualifications and experience: Point 1 €15.01, Point 2 €16.97.
* Flexible hours including sleepovers, weekends, and bank holidays.
* Premium payments: Time and a half for Sundays, double time for Bank Holidays, €7.80 for Saturday shifts, €70.70 per sleepover.
* Location varies within south Dublin and Kildare areas.
* Willingness to work across all WALK locations.

Personal Criteria
* Minimum QQI Level 5 in Social Studies, Intellectual Disability Studies, or similar.
* Experience supporting people with disabilities.
* Full driver’s license for some locations.
* Resilient, adaptable, and able to handle high-stress situations.
* Aligned with organizational values.
* Ability to develop positive relationships, including with challenging behaviours.
* Flexible, organized, enthusiastic, and professional.
* Excellent communication and IT skills.
