Leading a not-for-profit organisation's strategic direction requires strong governance, leadership and oversight. The Rape Crisis Centre North East is seeking dedicated professionals to join its Board of Directors.
This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of survivors of sexual violence in the North East region. As a Board Member, you will be part of a team guiding the organisation's vision and mission for a safer community.
* Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership and oversight in line with RCCNE's objectives and values
* Attend and actively participate in quarterly board meetings
* Contribute to subcommittees or working groups as required
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations
* Support the CEO and management team by offering expertise and guidance
* Act as an ambassador for RCCNE within your professional networks and community
We are seeking individuals with professional experience in:
* Legal
* Finance & Audit
* Human Resources / Governance
* Counselling / Mental Health Services
Prior board experience is welcome but not essential. A commitment to equality, compassion and survivor-centered care is crucial.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also possess a high level of integrity and professionalism.
