Candidate Gynaecology Nurse Practitioner (cANP) / Advanced Gynaecology Nurse Practitioner (ANP)
Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week) post
The overall purpose of the Candidate Gynaecology Advanced Nurse Practitioner (cANP) / Advanced Gynaecology Nurse Practitioner (ANP) post is to undertake and document a complete episode of patient care - including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge - in an accurate, timely and complete manner, while demonstrating advanced practical and theoretical knowledge and critical thinking skills.
The main purpose of the Candidate ANP post is for the individual to develop clinical skills and knowledge in order to meet the criteria to be registered as an ANP with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Qualifications and Experience:
* Be registered in the Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
* Have a minimum five years post registration nursing experience including a minimum of three years clinical experience in the specialist area
* Level 8 Qualification in the relevant specialist area
* Masters Degree in Nursing/Midwifery (Advanced Practice Pathway) OR be currently undertaking a Master's Degree in Nursing/ Midwifery (Advanced Practice Pathway) or be eligible to register to undertake a Master's Degree in Nursing/Midwifery (Advanced Practice Pathway)
* Have a broad base of clinical experience relevant to the advanced field of practice
Skills and Knowledge
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients and in a multidisciplinary team
* Demonstrable high levels of judgement, discretion and decision making
* Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional development, training and research
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
