Assistant Accountant -Cork Overview Our client a leading not for profit are seeking an Assistant Accountant to provide short-term cover and support the finance function during a busy reporting and audit period.
This role is to start immediately, initially being offered on a temporary basis it has the potential to extend.
Key Responsibilities Assist with preparation of Annual Audited Financial Statements and audit schedules Support audit fieldwork Prepare Monthly Management Accounts and month-end reconciliations Prepare Monthly Board and stakeholder reports Assist with financial returns Maintain the Fixed Asset Register Review payment controls and suggest improvements Support finance processes and transition to a new system Key Skills Previous experience in an accounts/finance role Strong Excel skills and attention to detail Ability to meet deadlines and work independently Available for an immediate start Skills: Assistant Accountant Accounts Assistant part-qualified accountant
