We are seeking to hire a Part‑Qualified/Qualified Accountant in our Waterford City office.
Full‑time hours: 37.5 hrs per week (in office work only). Working hours are Monday‑Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Friday 8:30 am‑2:00 pm. Full‑time/part‑time role open to discussion for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Management of multiple jobs ensuring the key objectives are delivered as required and in a timely manner
* Experience of preparing and/or reviewing VAT, PAYE, income tax and corporation tax returns
* Liaise with clients on queries relating to Revenue requirements, Companies Registration Office (CRO) filings, and Irish GAAP/FRS 102/FRS 105
* Preparation and review of financial statements
* Compliance with Irish tax legislation, filing deadlines and regulatory standards
* The use of BRIGHT Accounts Production, AUTOENTRY, SAGE
Candidate Profile
* Resident of Ireland
* 2 to 3 years experience in Irish Accounting practice (Essential)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with clients on your portfolio
* Self‑motivation and capability of working on your own initiative
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills
* Committed to obtaining a professional qualification
* Be a natural team player, comfortable working closely in a team environment
* Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise tasks and focus on meeting deadlines
* Experience of working on audit assignments desirable
