Job Duties
* Conduct an agreed amount of sales calls and site inspections to maintain and develop new business.
* Support Sales & Marketing Manager in production of daily/week reports.
* Identify key competitors and carry out our regular competitor analysis.
* Prepare and execute specific annual and quarterly sales and marketing action plans in conjunction with the Sales & Marketing Manager and the marketing executive.
* Maintain up-to-date client databases and the CRM system.
* Participate fully in all sales activities, including sales researching, telesales, sales calls, corporate client entertaining, social events, promotions and FAM entertaining.
* Maintain existing accounts and generate new business from these accounts as per targets agreed upon.
* Source and win new corporate, function and special event business for the Hotel.
* Assist with duties as directed by Management, including operational duties across all hotel areas, as business levels require.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar position.
* Previous experience within hotels or a customer service environment.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills.
* Effective communicator.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Commercially aware with strong analytical skills; able to understand key business indicators and competitive trends.
* Sales focused and results driven.
* Knowledge of the Galway market essential.
