Overview
Trainee Phlebotomist – Full training provided. Field based – various locations in Northern Ireland. Salary: £20,837.25 per year plus commission, overtime, expenses and benefits. Internal title: Health Assessment Specialist.
Responsibilities
* You will be required to work 3 x 10-hour shifts per week, totaling 30 hours per week. Shifts can be between 6am and 10pm, any day of the week, allocated 3 weeks in advance.
* You may need to drive up to 2 hours to your venue; some days may require public transport depending on the venue type.
* You will work across multiple venues within your region, ensuring high-quality service at each location.
* Plan your route each day, set up your kit on arrival, greet customers, and manage 15–22 customers per day with appointment lengths varying from 10 to 45 minutes depending on the package.
* Perform various health assessments based on customer packages (e.g., PAD, ECG, Phlebotomy after qualification, Lung Function, Body Composition, and short fitness tests) and advise on further testing when appropriate. Maintain all relevant administration records.
* You will not relay results or lifestyle advice to customers after assessments are complete.
Requirements
What we’d like to see from you
* A full UK driving license and access to your own car to transport kit to venues; ability to store kit items at home when not working.
* Willingness to work any days between Monday and Sunday and any times between 6am and 10pm on a rota basis (shifts may be 6am–4pm, 8am–6pm, or 1pm–10pm).
* Competent with computers/laptops/phones/tablets.
* Clear DBS – we will process this on your behalf.
* Ability to travel up to 2 hours from home to perform the role; occasional overnight stays may be required.
* Living within the correct distance of the regional location.
* Attend our Milton Keynes head office for the first 2 weeks of training (Monday–Friday, stay in Milton Keynes).
* Willingness to learn and take on new skills.
* On onboarding, a satisfactory enhanced criminal records check is required (covered by us).
* All roles require a satisfactory criminal record check as part of onboarding.
