In this role you will oversee the technical support team responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising Data Loss Prevention systems. This role requires a deep understanding of DLP technologies, leadership skills, and the ability to resolve complex technical issues. The ideal candidate will ensure the DLP platforms operate effectively to protect sensitive data and comply with organisational security policies.What you will be responsible forLeading and mentoring a team of technical support engineers specialising in DLP platformsEnsuring timely resolution of support tickets and adherence to SLAs (Service Level Agreements)Tuning and upgrading system components, following internal testing and change management processesWorking with key stakeholders and vendors to implement new or additional DLP capabilities to enhance our risk-driven data protectionContributing to projects that improve current DLP capabilities, drive adoption, and enable future growthConducting root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measuresActing as an escalation point for complex technical issues related to DLP platformsPartnering within the Cyber Fusion Centre teams to ensure our DLP platforms meet operational needs, within DLP Program Operations, Insider Threat and Incident responseWhat we valueExperience operating and supporting DLP tools across multiple security domains such as: Network, Email, Endpoint and WebExposure to, and knowledge of enterprise DLP platforms eg Symantec DLP, Digital Guardian Endpoint DLP, ProofPoint, Microsoft PurviewStrong skills managing application deployments, configurations and updates running on Linux (RHEL) operating systems, with a strong knowledge of Linux Commands, files systems, permissions and process managementUnderstanding and working knowledge of current data protection, information security and cyber security practices and techniquesDirect experience managing, mentoring and leading teamsCreating an environment that drives knowledge sharing and collaborationA collaborative approach to solving technical challenges and improving securityA desire to learn, combined with a collaborative working style and strong personal work ethicExperience in a 24/7 security operations environment, emphasising reliability and system availabilityEducation & Preferred Qualifications7+ years of experience in IT support, cybersecurity, or a related field.
