About the Position
This is a role involving shifts and you will be fully onsite. You must be able to work both day and night shifts in Dublin.
Role Overview
As a Control Room Operator, you will play a vital role in monitoring and managing traffic activity across Ireland's national and motorway network. Working as part of a close-knit operations team, you'll ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, responding swiftly to incidents and maintaining smooth traffic flow.

Key Responsibilities
* Monitor real-time traffic data and respond promptly to incidents, accidents, and emergencies.
* Use traffic management systems and technology to detect, assess, and manage network conditions.
* Liaise with emergency services, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to coordinate effective responses.
* Communicate clear, accurate information to road users through signs, alerts, and digital channels.
* Collaborate with other control centres to manage cross-network events.
* Maintain accurate incident records and produce detailed reports.
* Conduct routine checks of systems and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
* Support the overall objective of safe, reliable, and efficient traffic movement.
Experience/Requirements
* Strong attention to detail and ability to stay composed under pressure.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
* Strong teamwork and coordination skills.
* Organised and methodical approach to record-keeping and reporting.
Desirable
* Experience in a control room, traffic operations, or emergency response environment.
* Familiarity with intelligent transport systems or similar monitoring technology.
