We're looking for a hands-on Business Analyst to help accelerate data maturity and improve confidence in how business teams engage with data. This is a delivery-facing role where you'll gather and shape requirements, co-design reports and dashboards, and support the rollout of core data capabilities like Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Purview.You'll act as the link between business users and the data team, helping stakeholders explore and understand their data, while ensuring solutions are accurate, secure, and meaningful.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with business teams to gather, analyse, and prioritise business requirements.Facilitate workshops and meetings to understand business needs and communicate findings.Document stakeholder requirements clearly and comprehensively to ensure alignment across business and technical teams.Translate business needs into well-structured user stories and functional specificationsDefine and maintain KPIs, business rules, and performance metricsTrace data and functionality across systems to support root cause analysis and requirement validationUtilise existing process maps to support the development of reporting processes across the business.data accuracy and completeness across prototypes and production releasesWork with stakeholders to review and sign off on deliverables (UAT, business readiness, etc.)Champion the use of Microsoft Purview for cataloguing, lineage, and governance visibilityAssist with business enablement for Microsoft Fabric in driving confidence around data discovery and self-service useEnsure solutions meet business needs and requirements through testing and validation.Support end-user training and onboarding initiatives to enhance data literacy and maturity, including the creation of accessible documentation, hands-on sessions, and tailored learning resources.Qualifications & SkillsMust-HaveProven experience as a Business AnalystStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsComfortable working on-site in County Clare two days per weekHigh proficiency in Microsoft stack (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Ability to work across business and technical teams, translating needs clearly and pragmaticallyExperience supporting full project lifecycles - requirements, testing, go-live and post-go-live supportNice to HaveExperience with diagramming tools such as Microsoft Visio or similar for documentationFamiliarity with Microsoft Fabric, Purview, Azure Data FactoryAwareness of Agile delivery methods (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)Comfortable contributing to self-service BI rollouts and data enablement strategiesWhy This Role MattersThis is a central role in a growing data team, working at the intersection of analytics, governance, and delivery.
