About the Role
* Perform site assessments for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro, biogas), evaluating site conditions, resources, and constraints to determine feasibility.
* Prepare high-standard technical reports, including feasibility studies, performance assessments, and compliance documentation tailored to clients and regulators.
* Conduct energy audits to identify inefficiencies, recommending solutions to enhance energy performance and environmental impact.
* Perform design calculations and reporting independently, including system sizing, energy modeling, and cost analysis, with attention to project timelines and budgets.
* Participate in meetings with clients and internal teams, presenting findings, providing updates, and collaborating on design solutions.
* Work with stakeholders to produce planning documents and submit applications, coordinating with environmental consultants, engineers, and planners.
* Supervise junior team members, review work, mentor staff, and ensure quality standards are maintained.
What We Need From You
* Honours degree (Level 8) or equivalent in civil, mechanical, electrical, or energy engineering.
* Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in engineering consultancy or energy management projects.
* Experience in energy auditing, renewable energy feasibility and design, planning applications.
* Experience with Public Works and FIDIC contracts.
* Teamwork skills.
* Knowledge of BIM.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
* Full driving license.
* Experience with renewable energy projects (solar PV, wind, hydro, biogas).
* Energy auditing experience for industrial sites, ISO50001 & Si 426 standards.
* Design experience for MEICA and building upgrades.
* Feasibility assessments including cost-benefit analysis.
* Site surveys and assessments.
* Liaison experience with ESB and grid connections.
* Experience with water/wastewater treatment projects.
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
* Proficiency with software for designing solar and wind systems.
