Estimating Manager
This key role will lead our estimating function, ensuring accurate, competitive and financially efficient tenders for projects nationwide.
About the Role
* Manage and lead the estimating process for structural steel and cladding projects.
* Create detailed proposals, cost estimates and bills of quantities to meet client expectations.
* Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure financial efficiency.
* Collaborate with design, fabrication and project management teams to ensure accurate proposals.
* Monitor material costs, market trends and regulations impacting pricing.
* Identify opportunities for business growth through industry contacts.
About You
* You must have 7+ years experience in an estimating role within structural steel/cladding or construction.
* Established network and supplier/contractor contacts are essential.
* A proven track record in producing successful tenders and cost plans is required.
* Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills are necessary.
* Proficiency in estimating software, MS Excel and industry-relevant platforms is expected.
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or similar is desirable.
* Leadership qualities with ability to manage, guide and support junior estimators.
