Overview
Dawn Meats Group is one of Europe’s leading beef and lamb processing companies, employing over 8,000 people across Ireland, the UK, France, and continental Europe. This role supports the day‑to‑day running and maintenance of our production facility in Carrolls Cross.
Responsibilities
* Manage the full electrical works and troubleshooting of the site and equipment.
* Lead the site preventative electrical programme and manage scheduling.
* Carry out work orders in a timely and safe manner while maintaining adherence and full compliance with company procedures.
* Upload all job details onto a handheld mobile field technology device upon completion.
* Test, inspect and certificate your own installations.
* Explain system procedures to site management.
* Develop an in‑depth working knowledge of all site electrical equipment.
* Complete all work‑order form and paperwork in full.
* Follow all health and safety rules and regulations on site.
* Complete training and review of SOPs on compliance.
Qualifications
* High level of competency in electrical work / electrical engineering, with a minimum of 3 years post‑apprenticeship experience.
* Experience with machines and process equipment, controls and automation.
* Experience in electrical and mechanical installations and maintenance.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Logical problem‑solving ability.
* Full driving licence.
* Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as part of a team.
* Flexible approach to working hours (shift work, overtime and on call).
