We are looking for an experienced and friendly Barista / Bar Staff member to join our Front of House team at our Dun Laoghaire restaurant.
Coffee is the heart of this role, so strong barista skills and a passion for quality coffee are essential.
In addition, you'll serve wine, cocktails, and other beverages, providing a full, high-quality drinks experience for our guests.
Our restaurant operates 9am-4pm Monday to Friday, with extended hours on weekends ( 9am-late on Saturday and Sunday ).
Shift times will vary between daytime and evenings, so flexibility is required.
This schedule allows for a healthier work/life balance than most hospitality roles.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve exceptional coffee and hot beverages to company standards Operate, clean, and maintain coffee machines and grinders Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including wine, beer, and cocktails Offer knowledgeable recommendations to customers, with a strong focus on coffee Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked bar and coffee station Take orders accurately and process payments via the EPOS system Deliver friendly, professional, and efficient customer service Handle customer queries and resolve complaints calmly and professionally Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards Support the Front of House team during service, including set-up and close-down duties Requirements Experience Minimum 1 year's experience as a barista or bar staff member Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and equipment Knowledge of wine and cocktail service is desirable Confident using bar tools and coffee machines Excellent customer service and communication skills Calm under pressure with the ability to multitask Reliable, punctual, and flexible for varied shifts, including evenings and weekends Willingness to follow company procedures and assist across a range of tasks Valid work permit/visa required Benefits Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Structured training and development opportunities Free coffee while on shift Staff meals at a discounted rate Tips
