Job Description
Senior Canon Field Service Engineer
Location: Limerick, Kerry and Clare, Ireland
Cantec Group is seeking an experienced Senior Canon Field Service Engineer to support customers across Limerick, Kerry and Clare. The successful candidate will install, maintain and repair Canon office, production and large format printing equipment while acting as a technical escalation point and mentor to other engineers. Candidates must have strong experience servicing Canon office devices, production printers and large format equipment. Applicants must be willing to relocate to the region. Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain and repair Canon office and production print devices
Diagnose hardware, electromechanical and image quality faults
Perform preventative maintenance to maximise device reliability
Provide technical escalation support for complex service issues
Mentor and support junior field service engineers
Install and configure print drivers and scanning functions, including SMB and SMTPS
Support uniFLOW Online onboarding and configuration
Maintain service documentation and job reporting
Identify sales opportunities and refer leads to the sales team
Required Canon Experience (Minimum 5 years)
Office Devices: Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE range, imageFORCE range, C5800 series, C3900 series, C257/C259, imageFORCE C5100 and C6100 series
Production Print: imagePRESS C265, imagePRESS V900, Canon VarioPrint range
Large Format: Canon TM200 / TM300, Canon TX series, ColorTrac large format scanners
Technical Knowledge
Paper feed and pickup systems
Fusing and fixing systems
Colour theory and image quality troubleshooting
Electromechanical diagnostics
Print driver installation and configuration
Scan to SMB and SMTP setup
Experience with uniFLOW Online, device monitoring platforms and network topology is advantageous
Requirements
Minimum 5 years Canon service experience
Full clean driving licence
Willingness to relocate to the Limerick region
