Our client is a well-known and highly regarded renewable energy group. Due to significant growth, a new role has beenn created within a commercially-focused team for a qualified accountant. The successful candidate will take ownership of the reporting cycle for entities and deliver value-adding manageemnt reporting to aid strategic decision making. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with up to 3 years PQE.
Key Responsibilities
• Take ownership of the monthly reporting cycle for assigned entities, including the preparation of management accounts, project cost reports and variance analyses. Ensure all reports are produced accurately and delivered to stakeholders and boards on schedule.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs and internal controls, maintaining high standards of financial integrity across banking, procurement and approval processes.
• Prepare statutory reporting schedules and audit documentation, liaising with auditors and ensuring full compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for your entity, working closely with project teams to ensure alignment with agreed timelines and financial targets.
• Act as the primary finance contact for your entity, managing the flow of information between partners, internal teams and enabling functions. Build strong relationships through clear, timely communication. Provide financial insight and analysis to support decision-making by project teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor and maintain internal control systems in line with company policy, reporting any issues or proposed improvements to the Finance Partner and Governance Manager.

• Actively participate in the Performance Management process to support the delivery of both personal objectives and those of the wider team.
Key Skills
• A recognised accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Proven experience in general ledger activities and month-end tasks, with a process-driven approach focused on efficiency and standardisation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Power Query and Oracle would be a benefit.
