About This Role
We are seeking a Product Sourcing Specialist to join our team due to significant growth and increased supplier management requirements.
Job Responsibilities
* Sources new and replacement parts from current suppliers
* Sources products from new suppliers, enhancing quality, costs, and delivery
* Maintains strong relationships with suppliers for effective communication
* Negotiates with current Suppliers on orders, new products, and deliveries
* Liaises with supplier checking agents for streamlined processes
* Develops proactive relationships with colleagues and suppliers on product pricing, availability, and forecasting
* Analyses sales trends and figures to ensure buying habits align
* Communicates product specs, measurements clearly and concisely
* Handles large amounts of information and follows up on confirmations
* Liaises with Warehouse Manager on new products and deliveries
* Liaises with marketing and webshop administrator for updated products
* Manages international shipping rules, dealing with customs, excise, and VAT duties paperwork
* Liaises with the sales team on product research, market trends, and specs
* Supports other departments in resolving queries/issues
* Stays informed about industry changes and trends, proactively seeking information when required
Requirements
* Proven track record in sourcing or purchasing, preferably in Agri-related fields
* Agricultural parts or machinery sector experience is beneficial
* Experience in international sourcing and purchasing procedures
* Highly organized and methodical
* Driven by process improvements
* Skilled in price negotiations and chasing Suppliers for information
* Willingness to learn and grow with the organization
* Proactive approach to work, acting on own initiative where possible
* Ability to work independently
* Good attention to detail and highly accurate
* Ability to work under pressure and handle large workloads
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to get on with different people and departments
* Supply chain management or Purchasing management qualification is advantageous
* Experience using CAD or drawing software is beneficial
* Proficient in Ms Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
* MS NAV experience is an advantage but not essential
