Trade Counter Sales Executive (Electrical Wholesale)
Role Purpose
The Trade Counter Sales Executive will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service at the trade counter and over the phone, handling sales enquiries, processing orders, and supporting warehouse operations where required. The role requires strong product knowledge, a proactive sales approach, and the ability to build relationships with trade customers while maximising sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Serve customers at the trade counter and respond to telephone enquiries in a professional and efficient manner
Provide product advice, quotations, and solutions to meet customer needs
Process customer orders accurately and ensure timely fulfilment
Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities to maximise sales and margin
Promote alternative and own‑brand products where appropriate
Maintain strong product knowledge and awareness of pricing, costs, and branch targets
Support warehouse operations including goods in, goods out, picking, and packing when required
Assist with customer and site deliveries as needed
Maintain high standards of customer service at all times
Any other duties required to support branch operations
Essential Experience
Previous experience in electrical wholesale or strong knowledge of electrical products (advantageous)
Experience in a trade counter, retail, or customer‑facing sales role
Experience working in a fast‑paced environment

Sales‑driven mindset with the ability to upsell and spot opportunities
Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask under pressure
High attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders
IT literate, comfortable with order processing and stock systems
Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
Full, clean Irish driving licence (required)
Forklift licence / MHE experience (desirable)
