Position
Plant Operative
Responsibilities
* Receive, manage and transfer out all waste within the facility.
* Ensure all paperwork is completed in line with Company procedure and legislation.
* Work in all areas of the facility.
* Ensure bins are clean and serviceable and carry out maintenance of clinical waste bins.
* Ensure waste is properly segregated on arrival and dispatch to and from the facility.
* Load bulk waste trailers to meet the needs of the facility.
* Load and unload waste into bins and containers to meet the needs of the facility.
* Use and operate the waste tracking systems used by the company.
* Maintain the highest standards of quality and a safe working environment.
* Work alongside outlined Standard Operating Procedures and health & safety regulations.
* Report equipment faults and defects to site management and rectify where possible.
* Perform other duties deemed reasonable to carry out the job role.
Qualifications
* Education: High School or equivalent.
* Experience (EMEAA):
* Preferred: Basic knowledge of plant/warehouse operations.
* Required: Manual handling training; trained in handling chemical waste.
* Preferred: Forklift training.
* Physically fit.
* Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
* Good communicator.
* Ability to work without supervision.
* Ability to manage time and complete multiple tasks within timescales.
* Self-motivated, reliable and enthusiastic.
* Team player; able to work effectively under pressure.
* Forklift certificate and warehouse experience would be advantageous.
