Community Based Homework Club Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Community Based Homework Club Assistant. This role involves working closely with the coordinator to develop a homework club suitable for primary and secondary school children from Direct Provision Hostels, including parental involvement.
The Role
* Develop a community-based homework club for primary and secondary school children from Direct Provision Hostels.
* Work collaboratively with the Homework Club Coordinator to implement this initiative.
* Provide support and guidance to disadvantaged children in their studies.
* Foster a supportive environment by collaborating with parents of participating children.
Requirements
* FETAC Level 5 in Childcare or related qualification (e.g., Youth Work, Social Care, Social Studies).
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar working environment.
* Experience working with and supporting disadvantaged children.
* Knowledge of afterschool/homework club settings and Primary School Curriculum.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly with young people.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Motivated, enthusiastic, and high energy individual with a flexible approach.
